    Whether she is opening for some of the most popular artists in country music or giving her time to assist charities, singer-songwriter Bethany Gates has already discovered just how many lives one person can impact. The 22-year-old from Richmond, Virginia has already opened for Chris Young, Eli Young Band, Lee Ann Womack, Ashley Monroe, Larry Gatlin, and Taylor Hicks, and has even performed at the well-known Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, Tennessee. Bethany Gates performed as the Emerging Artist at the legendary Old Dominion Barn Dance 2017 featuring Tony Jackson at the Beacon Theatre.

    Much of Bethany’s life has been dedicated to using the arts to touch lives. A passionate vocalist and instrumentalist, Bethany also loves songwriting and uses her craft to tell genuine stories about her life as well as the lives of the people around her. She also spent many years in formal dance training and attended the prestigious Appomattox Governor’s School for the Arts and the Richmond Ballet.

    Away from the world of music, Bethany devotes much of her time in trying to help others. In addition to studying at Virginia Commonwealth University, she is also an advocate of Grace Home Ministries. The program helps young pregnant woman by providing mentoring, classes, and other important services and is run entirely from donations. Bethany also volunteers every Thanksgiving to assist The Giving Heart provide meals and supplies to homeless people gathering at the Richmond Convention Center. Bethany is also active in helping raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

    InsideOut Band is a group of professional musicians from Richmond Va. InsideOut Band’s musical influences include Chicago, Tower of Power, Blood Sweat and Tears, Earth Wind & Fire, and Kool and the Gang.  Also, artists like Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Luther Vandruss, Prince, the Time and too many more to list.

    Having both female and male lead singers offers InsideOut the opportunity to play a wider range of material.  Additionally, it doesn’t hurt to have two more lead singers who also play instruments. In all, four lead vocalists add to great harmonies as well as lead vocals.

    Add to the vocals the explosive horn section, playing sectional lines like in Make Me Smile to Tower of Power’s Diggin on James Brown, it is a powerful combination. The Horn section, consists of four horns, Trumpet, Trombone Baritione and Tenor Sax, and gives InsideOut the diversity to play lots of different styles from jazz, swing, and R&B to funk and more.

    Fillmore Duo is a unique musical act from Virginia. They are a married couple, who met through music. Morgan and Phil’s powerful vocals combine to guarantee goosebumps. You will also find your self moving to Morgan’s infectious percussive accompaniment and Phil’s passionate keyboard playing! This couple is the right fit for any private event and venue! Their influences include: Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Etta James, Prince, Ray Charles, and many other great classic soulful artists. They are very versatile and can compliment any mood that you are trying to achieve to make your day perfect! They also offer customized ceremony medleys. Fillmore can have you chilling to some soft soul and jazz, or up on your feet dancing to your favorite funk/R&B tune!
